Welcome to Cheshire Dog Lady

We are a home based, fully insured, fully licensed, doggy day care, and home boarding service in Cheshire.

Whether you are at work, out for the day or going on holiday we are here to care for your fur babies. With long working hours and busy social lives, it’s not easy to ensure your dog gets the exercise and stimulation they require. Here at Cheshire Dog Lady they will have a minimum of one hour walk and lots of time to play.

We have a secure back garden and live right next door to big fields. We welcome sociable dogs of most breeds and sizes, we encourage exercise, play and socialising with other dogs in a safe and fun environment.

We get to know your dog and cater for their needs – whether that’s action-packed fun all day or simply relaxing and enjoying peace and tranquillity chilling out.

Cheshire Dog Lady is fully compliant with Cheshire East Council licensing requirements. We are licenced for the provision of day care for dogs (licence number CE/HB153/300423), and home boarding for dogs (licence number CE/HB179/310724). You can find out more here.

About us

Founded by myself in 2020, Cheshire Dog Lady started out as a passion and hobby and is now growing into a well-loved small business.

We are a family run business, and our services include –

We believe that your dog deserves to feel comfortable and happy in their “home from home”, whilst you’re at work or out for the day. We understand that dogs are part of the family, and not all breeds are suited to kennels. We offer a premium service for your dog!

With regulars that join me at Cheshire Dog Lady daily, there’s never a dull moment and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

To call this work would be a lie, I am very lucky and privileged to care for such beautiful little furry ones, and I care for each and every one of them as my own!

Our goal is to ensure that owners can go to work or away safe in the knowledge that their dogs are being loved and cared for whilst having fun, exercise, and of course love.

Due to the success of Cheshire Dog Lady, we have now opened the Cheshire Dog Lady Hotel in Shavington, which is my assistant Sue’s home.

Every dog needs love and attention, and Emma will be your dog’s primary carer.

Respect comes from working a dog, building a bond and creating a trust that grows through team work. Mutual love and attention is then achieved.

At Cheshire Dog Lady, each day has a fun and physical aspect. The day will always involve lots of cuddles, along with soft voice tones and perhaps even a massage.

Your dogs are always welcomed back to a calm, tranquil, home environment.



Day care

Day care for your dog in our home with secure back garden. Minimum 1 hour daily walk. Timings by arrangement for arrival and departure. We are open from 8am-6pm. We invite all owners and dogs to come and visit us for an assessment ½ day, and be assured that your dog will be cared for in a clean, happy environment and talk through any concerns or questions.



Dog sitting

Our dog sitting service is tailored to your dog with the promise of providing high quality care to put your mind at ease whilst you are away. Your dog will be loved and spoilt whilst you are away – as always they are treated as our own. Your home will be safe too.

We are happy to take on extra responsibilities if you require, such as watering plants or looking after other pets.



Dog walking

Get in touch with us today to discuss dog walking options! We take bookings for one to one and group walks. We also have limited availability for home visits in Crewe & Nantwich. 1 hour dedicated to a fuss, any feed requirements and walk for your fur baby.



Wedding chaperone service

NEW! Getting married in Cheshire? Include your furry best friend in the wedding photographs! We will taxi your dog to the wedding just in time for photographs, and chaperone them so that you can concentrate on your big day.

Maintain routine

Whether home dog boarding or dog day care, we maintain your dog’s feeding routine. All that we require is for you to provide your dog’s normal food. If you have any specific nutritional demands for puppies or sensitive dogs, we can ensure any dietary requirements are strictly adhered to. Dogs always have access to fresh water and a warm, dry bed. Bowls are changed a minimum of twice a day.

Cheshire Dog Lady Hotel

Our second house opened on 1st July 2022 and is called the Cheshire Dog Lady Hotel.

This is based at our assistant Sue’s house in Shavington.

This is home based, fully insured and licensed through Cheshire East Council.

The hotel will mainly be for home boarders and will be the perfect experience for dog owners who want a home-based boarding environment for their dog whilst away on holiday.

They will be exercised for a minimum of 60 minutes daily and will have companionship throughout the day.

A meet and greet prior to your holiday is essential for us to meet your dog and for them to become familiar with us before they come to stay.

Wedding Chaperone Service

Are you getting married soon and would like to include your family dog?

We offer a highly professional wedding dog chaperone service where you can enjoy your day from beginning to end in the knowledge that your furry best friend is being lovingly cared for by us. We bring them along and look after them behind the scenes until they are needed, so you can concentrate on enjoying your day.

When dogs are included in weddings, it’s likely that their main role will be during the ceremony as a ring bearer, or you may just want them to be on the photos after the ceremony. We can talk through all your needs during a free consultation. They can stay overnight with us too.

We will also happily take photos from behind the scenes from your dogs perspective, giving you photos that your photographer may not have been able to capture.
