Welcome to Cheshire Dog Lady

We are a home based, fully insured, fully licensed, doggy day care, and home boarding service in Cheshire.

Whether you are at work, out for the day or going on holiday we are here to care for your fur babies. With long working hours and busy social lives, it’s not easy to ensure your dog gets the exercise and stimulation they require. Here at Cheshire Dog Lady they will have a minimum of one hour walk and lots of time to play.

We have a secure back garden and live right next door to big fields. We welcome sociable dogs of most breeds and sizes, we encourage exercise, play and socialising with other dogs in a safe and fun environment.

We get to know your dog and cater for their needs – whether that’s action-packed fun all day or simply relaxing and enjoying peace and tranquillity chilling out.

Cheshire Dog Lady is fully compliant with Cheshire East Council licensing requirements. We are licenced for the provision of day care for dogs (licence number CE/HB153/300423), and home boarding for dogs (licence number CE/HB179/310724). You can find out more here.

Founded by myself in 2020, Cheshire Dog Lady started out as a passion and hobby and has now grown into a well-loved reputable small business and now a multi award winning company (please see our awards page).

We believe that your dog deserves to feel comfortable and happy in their “home from home”, whilst you’re at work or out for the day. We understand that dogs are part of the family, and not all breeds are suited to kennels. We offer a premium service for your dog!

With regulars that join me at Cheshire Dog Lady daily, there’s never a dull moment and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

To call this work would be a lie, I am very lucky and privileged to care for such beautiful little furry ones, and I care for each and every one of them as my own!

Our goal is to ensure that owners can go to work or away safe in the knowledge that their dogs are being loved and cared for whilst having fun, exercise, and of course love.

Due to the success of Cheshire Dog Lady we opened the Cheshire Dog Lady Hotel in Shavington in 2022, which is Sue’s home, and we are about to open our third house Cockapoo HQ, which is Heather’s home.

Every dog needs love and attention, and Emma will be your dog’s primary carer.

Respect comes from working a dog, building a bond and creating a trust that grows through team work. Mutual love and attention is then achieved.

At Cheshire Dog Lady, each day has a fun and physical aspect. The day will always involve lots of cuddles, along with soft voice tones and perhaps even a massage.

Your dogs are always welcomed back to a calm, tranquil, home environment.



Day care

Day care for your dog in our home with secure back garden. Minimum 1 hour daily walk. Timings by arrangement for arrival and departure. We are open from 8am-6pm. We invite all owners and dogs to come and visit us for an assessment ½ day, and be assured that your dog will be cared for in a clean, happy environment and talk through any concerns or questions.



Dog sitting

Our dog sitting is a private service to you and your pets in your own home. We currently have three members on the team who work for me full time and one would be allocated as your sitter. All are DBS checked, and fully insured.

We would be based at your house at all times apart from roughly 11am-2pm each day when they would be out on private walks (their regular customers) . Your dog would be walked daily too and kept in their normal routine.

We would come out and visit you to meet you all and go through all the fine details and make notes prior to your holiday.

During the stay you would receive regular updates with photos of your dog.



Dog walking

Get in touch with us today to discuss dog walking options! We take bookings for one to one and group walks. We also have limited availability for home visits in Crewe & Nantwich. 1 hour dedicated to a fuss, any feed requirements and walk for your fur baby.



Wedding chaperone service

Getting married in Cheshire? Include your furry best friend in the wedding photographs! We will taxi your dog to the wedding just in time for photographs, and chaperone them so that you can concentrate on your big day.

Home Boarding

We’re proud to offer a luxury home-from-home boarding experience for your dog. We have two fully licensed homes with Cheshire East Council — mine in Wistaston (HQ) and Sue’s in Shavington (Cheshire Dog Lady Hotel)

My home in Wistaston holds a 5-star license, and we are incredibly proud of the high standards we maintain. When your dog stays with us, they’ll be treated like one of the family — with plenty of love, care, and attention.

They’ll enjoy social time with their new doggy friends, enrichment activities, and in the winter months, cosy evenings in front of the log fire.

To ensure your dog is a good fit for our setting:

Your dog must be happy to sleep downstairs independently
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations
Dogs should receive regular flea and worm treatments
Your dog must be well-socialised and comfortable around other dogs

To maintain the highest standards, we have a number of policies in place.

Here are a few key points:

Male dogs must be neutered
Female dogs in season unfortunately cannot stay
All dogs must be vaccinated and flea/worm treated

Both houses have been fully inspected and are licensed by Cheshire East Council.

We’re also fully insured and canine first aid trained, including CPR.

🐾 Meet & Greet

We require all dogs to attend a meet & greet and a settling-in day before their stay. This ensures we’re the right fit for your dog and allows us to get to know their routine, personality, and any special requirements.



Adventure Days

Our Adventure Days are the ultimate treat for your dog – exciting, enriching outings designed to give them a whole new level of fun, exploration, and stimulation beyond the usual daycare routine!

These special events will take place on selected dates throughout the year and are open exclusively to our existing customers — whether your dog joins us for daycare, boarding, or walking.

Each Adventure Day is limited to just 6–8 dogs, ensuring a safe and tailored experience with plenty of one-on-one attention. Spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis, so early booking is recommended.

We rotate our locations to keep things fresh and stimulating, with plenty of time for sniffing, running, climbing, paddling — and, of course, treats and cuddles!

🔒 Safety First

Dogs are safely transported using dog seatbelts and a secure hammock setup in the back of our vehicle to ensure comfort and protection.
Each trip is led by two trained team members, ensuring full supervision at all times.
We welcome dogs with excellent off-lead recall, but we can also accommodate a few on long lines, so perfect recall isn’t essential.
